Have you ever had a bold dream? A desire to follow your heart, your passion, your joy?
My life has been dedicated to living what I'm passionate about. I do my best at listening to life and following it's twists and turns however unexpected.
The last two curves have been major shifts. I have completely let go of my career as a natural health care practitioner (after studying for 8 yrs and then practicing for 5). I have also entered motherhood. Stepping into motherhood has been an immensely joyous experience as well as an intense initiation into previously unknown realms. It is however the third twist that I write you about. I have, dare I say it, fallen in love with clay.
I have fallen into delicious joyous states of play, curiosity, wonder, awe and oneness, all through the act of clay making, both throwing and sculpting. It seems with every creation of art life offers it's teachings. The beauty of which has become outstanding. It is clear that, ahhhhh yes, this is my delight.
I have had the very great fortune of being able to study with two masters; Caroline Douglas, sculptor, (www.CarolineDouglas.com) and Mark Rossier, potter (www.MarkRossierPottery.com).
This passion has also brought me to the brutal awareness that I do not have the equipment needed to continue my art in the way that I long to. Clay must be fired at very high temperatures which requires a special (and expensive ) oven. It is in this regard that I write. I am asking my community to help me raise $ 5000.00. This money will go towards purchasing glazes (paint for clay), a kiln ( oven for clay) and basic supplies.
Please support me in creating my dream of creating joyous art to beautify our lives!
Much gratitude always,
Veronica Love (aka clay art)
